Travel: Pearl Island Bahamas

Travel: Pearl Island Bahamas

Are you looking for an exclusive luxury experience without the big price tag?  Look no further than Pearl Island Bahamas, where adventure and relaxation meet in a stunning island paradise. Recently, I traveled to Pearl Island with my crazy family and was blown away by the beauty and charm of this incredible destination.

We first start out at the Nassau port getting off our Royal Caribbean Cruise, took a short walk through the many markets to head to meet the ferry.

(You know I had to stop for a Fresh Coconut)

The ferry ride was seemingly short, & we definitely got wet getting out there, I don't know what I was thinking trying to sit in the front of the damn boat 😂. The ride itself took about 15 minutes but gave us a chance to see the many beautiful homes on the water they were building. They even pointed out Eddie Murphy's and Beyonce's old Estates on the island back in the early 2000s. Arriving to the dock the first thing that struck me about Pearl Island was the breathtaking landscape. With crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft white sand beaches, and lush tropical vegetation, it's no wonder that this island has become a top destination for travelers from around the world, and quite frankly the most forgotten because it was pretty empty. Which I’m not complaining but I was shocked that most people didn’t take advantage of this hidden gem, with so many activities to enjoy, there was never a dull moment.

One of our favorite things to do on the island was kayaking, and yesss they even let little Sienna go on as well, which don’t get me wrong, I was a little nervous but the waters were very calm.  Sienna wouldn't stop expressing that she felt like Moana on the Ocean, it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. We even spotted some marine life, like colorful fish and sea turtles, along the way she was definitely in her MOANA  feels. (Make wayyyy, Make wayyyyy)

When it comes to food, Pearl Island has plenty of delicious options to choose from, whether you're in the mood for fresh seafood or island-inspired dishes, the island's restaurant has something for everyone. I highly recommend trying the conch fritters and grilled lobster for a true taste of the Bahamas. We bought a package which was about 100pp (Sienna excluded all kids ages 5 and under were free) which included snookering, kayak rentals, all the games and other entertainment they provide, along with a Bahamian Lunch, that fried fish omg so good! With the Rum Daiquiri's, (virgin)Pina Colada's and the dreamy net we were living our best lives.

For history buffs, Pearl Island has a rich and fascinating past. The island was once used as a base for pirates, and there are still remnants of their presence to be found, such as a hidden cave and treasure hunts that can be arranged for visitors for an additional cost.

Overall, traveling to Pearl Island Bahamas with my family was an unforgettable experience. The beauty of the island, combined with the variety of activities and delicious food, made for the perfect family vacation. I can't wait to go back and make even more memories in this incredible destination!!
