I don't know about you but I LOVE Balsamic Vinegar! Add it to some Olive Oil, Parmesan Cheese, and Chili Flakes wooooohweeee you've got some great baguette dipping sauce!
Most of all, I love it making this delicious glaze perfectly paired with my Strawberry Salad or the Caprese Chicken!
Let's get into it!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons of Honey or (1/4 cup of Brown or Cane Sugar)
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, bring the vinegar to a simmer over medium heat, then stir in the honey. (If using sugar combine both in saucepan and bring to a slow boil)
2. Once the mixture begins to simmer, turn down to medium low. Lightly simmer, stirring (I use a whisk) occasionally until it has reduced in half and has started to thicken. About 7 to 10 minutes. A good rule of thumb if it is done, is to see if it will stick to the back of a spoon. Then you know it's ready!
3. Pour into a small glass jar or bowl and cover. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use. It will thicken as it cools. Stays fresh up to one month.
