30 Minute Turkey Chili

30 Minute Turkey Chili

It's getting chilly here in Los Angeles and quite frankly I couldn't be more happier! We've had a very rough Summer here with this heat and all of the horrible fires! Something that always brings my family close is warm comforting food, and this is our number one go-to. Growing up in Chicago getting ready for those cold winters there was nothing like coming home to delicious chili! A healthier option we've substituted the original beef with ground turkey.

Ingredients

1lb Organic Ground Turkey

1 Medium Onion (Chopped)

2  Cloves Garlic (Minced)

1 Green Bell Pepper (Chopped)

1 Can Diced Tomatoes

1 Can Kidney Beans

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

SEASONING MIX

1 Tbsp. Chili Powder

1 1/2 tsp. Cumin

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 Tbsp Garlic Powder (if you're not a fan of garlic 1 tsp. will do)

tsp. Pepper

Preparation

1. In a pot/dutch oven heat olive oil on medium heat, add onion and green peppers sauce for about 2 minutes then add ground turkey ( I like to season my meat aside from adding the seasoning mix for the chili with Lawry, Pepper, and Garlic Powder to the pan start to brown and add garlic continue to brown meat and drain excess fat.

2. Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, add chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and lawry's. If you like your chili a little soupier then you can add a little water. (adjust seasoning like salt depending on your own personal tastebuds)

3. Cover and let simmer on low for about 15mins.

4. Add to a bowl, add toppings and enjoy!

Add Shredded Cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions, avocado, Frito Corn Chips, oyster crackers pretty much anything you want
